Walk Unafraid will host a For Freedoms Postcard Action at the 10th Annual Wake Up With the Arts Breakfast on October 5th at 8:30 to 10:30 AM. Lead by Tonyehn Verkitus, participants are invited to participate in sharing their own thoughts on freedom by filling out For Freedoms postcards as part of an interactive display. After the event individuals are will take home postcards to continue the activation within their own nonprofit and arts organizations. The 10th Annual Wake Up with the Arts Breakfast! this year features Matthew Serio, Program Director with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts who will be speaking on the “State of the Arts in Pennsyslvania”. This is a project of The Office of Arts and Culture which advocates for and supports high quality arts opportunities and programs for people of all ages throughout Lackawanna County. Walk Unafraid is a mission-based artist-run initiative committed to empowering individuals and communities to create social change through shared stories, active listening, and peaceful action.
